ThePub Productions
Website Redesign
project overview
To create a central hub & website for ThePub; Canada’s largest end-to-end content solution for Creative, Media, Production, Tech & Data.
The task was to showcase these services (Motion, Photography, Print, Digital, Strategy) on a centralized website for Brand Marketers, Creative Agencies & Partners, providing an opportunity to connect with ThePub for any future work.
Role & Duration
ROLE: Research/Ideation, Wireframing, Interaction Design, Prototyping, Quality Assurance.
DURATION: Ongoing for 1.5 years, working together with internal teams to ensure the look & feel aligns with the new company goals and identity.
UX/UI Designer on the team; tasked with creating high-fidelity wireframes and an interactive clickable prototype for Desktop/Mobile, as well as providing QA to the Development team prior to launch.
Problem Statement
The old website was simplistic in branding (see below) and was only built to showcase Reels for Video/Motion projects. In order to align better with the revised business structure, more pages needed to be created to showcase all of ThePub’s Media offerings.
business & user goals
ThePub aimed to separate itself from competitors while still maintaining distinctiveness in the media space. Their business goals were to provide a larger breadth of work while visually expressing the creativity of the brand. From a UX/UI perspective the site needed to be easily processed given the number of assets on display, while maintaining a unique experience for each department page.

The concept was to keep it bold and simple: large headlines and lots of imagery - letting the content speak for itself.
The use of orange helped the design pop while keeping it minimal with two main colour styles. The circle motif was used as a visual through-line, keeping each design grounded with a simplistic icon.
